As we walk into life after the Midterms. we would be wise to put on Jesus as our life vest. It is apparent many have fallen into deception and more will drown as this cultural flood overwhelms our country. Deep down we knew this cyclone was brewing, and maybe some of you, like me, prayed and hoped God would turn the tide and we would not have to face the darkness ahead but God has other plans. After the election and I finished wrestling with my fear and disappointment I heard God whisper "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:5)
God's plan for us has not changed. His primary concern is still sending us into the spiritual battlefield to seek and save the lost. This is not the time to retreat, its time to advance and throw life lines to the people who have been deceived. We don't have time to lick our wounds. Instead we have to fan our faith into a blazing fire and keep our momentum high. Our voices are more important now than ever before.
The apostles reminded us they were "pressured but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted but nor abandoned; struck down but not destroyed." (2 Corinthians 4:8) Yes, we should anticipate opposition . The enemy knows his time is short. The good news is God is still in control and believers are "beacons of light" in a dark and dying world. The war for the soul of America will continue as long as we don't loose heart.
